Description

In the Blackbutt Range, a scenic forest drive leads through rainforest, hoop pine plantations and eucalypt forests containing blackbutt, tallowwood, white mahogany, gums and ironbarks to small flats beside the inviting waters of Emu Creek.

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and Bicentennial National Trail pass through Benarkin State Forest.

A patchwork of majestic hoop pine plantations, towering eucalypt forests and dense vine scrub clothe the scenic Blackbutt Range and the rolling hills at the head of the Brisbane River. Take a scenic forest drive to picnic, camp, ride or walk under towering forest trees or beside refreshing streams.
