I stayed here on an overnight layover in a camper cabin and the park is great. I went in mid September, and the park was not busy at all. Most sites are able to accommodate trailers, and the campground was designed to cater to boating and fishing Red Lake. There is a camper-only boat landing, and there nearly enough boat slips on the Tamarac River for each campsite/camper cabin. There is also a clean fish cleaning house. The main showers are seasonal, but there is a year-round bathroom/shower located in the rear of the visitor center. The beach is clean and picnic friendly. This is a very new park, and worth the visit. I'll definitely be back to stay in the cabins for ice fishing and back in the spring with my boat.
