Unknown | Great campground | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | This is a nice small campground tucked in the mountains with a bunch of great waterfront sites. The campground does not take reservations, so you might need to take whatever is available when you arrive then talk to campers who are leaving the next day to secure a waterfront site. Check out time is 11 am, so if you arrive around this time you may get lucky - we did see someone drive right into a vacant waterfront site at about 11:05 one morning. Facilities are basic - outhouses with no showers, sinks, or lights in the bathrooms - but these are kept very clean.
The bottom of the lake is very mucky - water shoes might make it more pleasant for swimming (if they don't get sucked off your feet), or bring a floater of some sort, and that way you can float out into the middle of the lake and swim off your floater. Many people at this campground bring their own boats for fishing. Whiteswan hotsprings (natural hotsprings in the river) are accessed from the road into the park. | | | This review has been viewed 103 times. |
