| Pam B. | | Loved It! | | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | | Chewacla State Park was great. Small park with about 36 full service RV sites, 16 primitive sites and 6 cabins. Since the park was built during the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps there are lots of stone structures, cabins, bridges, waterfall and concrete picnic tables through out the park. Each RV site has water, 30 & 50 amp electric, sewer and satellite tv. I was able to pick up 5 television channels over the air but the signal was too weak and wasn't watchable. Bring you coax cable and you can hook right into cable tv at your site. Bathhouse was clean and air conditioned. Sites were clean and had picnic tables and a fire pit/grill. Cell service was good and I had plenty of signal. The park was full Friday - Sunday and on Monday we had it pretty much to ourselves. Even though it was full it was very quiet and peaceful. Dogs are allowed - if kept on a leash. Ours did fine and had plenty of space to go for walks. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails, even one that is rated for experienced riders only with lots of wood structures to ride over and through.
Considering the park is in Auburn the crowds at the park may be different once college football starts.
