flora e. | Fayette State Park | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | This is a wonderful state park. The state has done a phenomenal job restoring the ghost town of Fayette. The buildings and exhibits are fascinating even if you are not a history buff. The ghost town is spread out along the shores of Lake Michigan. The sunsets and scenery along the shore are incredible. The campground has electric hook ups and vault toilets. There are no showers or water hookups for RV's. The day use has a swim area. But, the beach is dune grass to within a few feet of the water, so it is very narrow. Having said that, it is still a very scenic and interesting state park. | | | This review has been viewed 120 times. |
