flora e. | Beautiful | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | The campers beach is clean and sandy. It is on the western side of Michigan's thumb and the sunsets on Lake Huron are amazing! There are many lakefront sites, but they tend to fill up quickly so plan ahead. The beach is undeveloped all the way to the day use area which is approx. two miles away. The day use area has some very nice nature trails and what seems like miles of beach. The Pinnebog River runs through the day use area and there is a canoe rental across from the park. It is not advertised, but there is a remote beach between the day use and campground areas where dogs are allowed to swim. My German Shepherd loved it! Ask the rangers for directions. This is one of the nicest campgrounds on Lake Huron! | | | This review has been viewed 176 times. |
