Big Brook Forest is the first karri forest to be regrown for timber after the logging of the 1920s and 1930s. Come and enjoy this rejuvenated forest. Several attractions add interest and appeal to the plantation. These are places to explore along the Karri Forest Explorer drive.
Big Brook Dam is a cool place to swim, fish and canoe. Picnicking is picture-perfect by the water’s edge. Campers are welcome at Big Brook Arboretum and so is your dog, as long as they stay on a leash.
Take the 4km walk trail that follows the shores of the Dam. This family friendly trail is accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. You can even cycle the trail.
The trees are the stars of this natural landscape. Discover exotic trees from around the world at Big Brook Arboretum. Get excellent views of Warren River Cedar trees from specially designed boardwalks. Don’t miss Big Karri, a 300-year-old karri tree. This old timer, ‘Big Karri’ is still thriving!
