Description

This park lies within the Great Western Woodlands. This is the largest remaining area of intact Mediterranean climate woodland left on earth. A highlight of the park is its attractive spring wildflower displays.

Discover a natural landscape of eucalypt woodlands, sand plains, granite outcrops, salt lakes and freshwater swamps. There are lots of opportunities for bushwalking, bird watching, and nature appreciation.

The four-wheel drive Holland Track crosses the park from Diamond Rock to Coolgardie. It’s a great way to explore the park and enjoy the high-octane fun of four-wheel driving!

The park is steeped in history. Railways, woodlines and the Goldfields water pipeline all feature. The Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail passes through the park at Woolgangie Rock.

Read more about the rich history, ecology and Aboriginal culture from interpretive signage in the park. See remnants of the historic Kalgoorlie woodlines. These narrow-gauge railway lines were used to haul timber into Kalgoorlie Boulder for use in the gold mines and industry.

With so much to discover why not stay a while? You can camp at the park’s scenic, low-key campgrounds.
