Description

Island Lake Provincial Recreation Area is located just off Crowsnest Highway #3 at the Alberta/BC border. A large open area is great for large units. Great fishing in Island Lake, and the nearby Crowsnest and Emerald lakes. Mountain bike and hiking trails criss-cross the area. Old roads make for some great short walks.

General Policies
Reservations are non-transferable. If you wish to occupy another site after arriving, regular rates will apply. Camp host makes regular visits to the site. Firewood Sales: $8/bundle or $20/wheelbarrow full. Pets must be on a leash. Each sleeping unit on-site must register. Quiet time is 11:00pm. No visitors after 11:00pm Well water is available and must be boiled, bottled water is recommended. Bathrooms are of the outhouse variety. No flush toilets or showers.
