This park preserves three small lakes & the wetlands & upland areas that surround them. Most of the wetlands have thick organic soils & are treed with black spruce & larch. The small areas of well-drained upland support mixedwood forests of aspen, lodgepole pine & white spruce. Trumpeter swans nest on Sucker Lake, which is just east of the park; it is believed that as their populations increase, the swans will begin to nest in the park.
