They would not allow my 2 dogs to stay with me although their advertising on web pages and their signs and pamplets say "people, paradise, pets."The mold and mildew in the trailer as well as the conditions of the bathrooms on site (which also include mold and mildew and other nasty surprises) was a real turn off anyway. I was expecting cape breton hospitality but the owner was very rude and unprofessional in her approach. I've stayed at many camp grounds over the years and this is the worst yet in my experience. There are many more campgrounds up the road and beyond and I suggest trying those over this one . | | |

However, if you are tenting, the bathroom situation is not the best. We stayed for three days/nights. In that time, the ladies bathroom was never cleaned and the same dead miller was on the floor the whole time. On one day, there was no paper towel for several hours. The men's washroom had a toilet and sink out of order for that entire time, as well. The people who stay in the park are very friendly and it is generally quite peaceful. | | |

The camping sites and views were spectacular, but the rest was a negative experience. The bathrooms were very bad and we had to hike up a very steep hill just to get to it. It was dirty and unkept, and the first night I killed a very huge water beetle. It was still on the floor, four days later! I have stayed in many campgrounds across the island and never have I paid for a shower. The lot was not cheap, $32.00 with no access to water or electricity! the campers were very pleasant and helpful and it almost feels like they run the place. The maintenance staff was very rude, but the office lady was very nice! Just a note, the owner is not local! Its too bad a little more attention isn't paid to the campers, it really is a spectacular view, although likely I would never stay again! disappointed caper | | |

This trip included my husband and I and kids and another couple and their children. We had both contacted the campground before hand to discuss the booking. When we arrived we prepaid for 2 nights the agreed amount quoted. 32 dollars per night plus tax. The site next to us was under construction but we didnt mind because it would be done by 5pm and we could enjoy our evening. When our friend went for firewood later in the evening the lady in he office charged him for the 2 bundles of wood and requested an additional 32 dollars plus tax for the 2 nights to cover having "extra" people on the site. This brought he nightly rate to $48 plus tax per night. This is high for a non serviced lot, but we were set up and decided to just let it go and enjoy our mini vacation. Then when we were having breakfast the next morning the lady from the office came to our site to inform us we had to pay even more money they wanted to charge per tent! We had one large tent and 2 small tents on our lot they wanted us to pay $ 32 plus tx for 2 tents and the smallest tent $16 plus tax. So this unserviced lot would be $80 dollars plus tax a night. This campground although it has a beautiful view is not worth even $32 per night the washroom facilities were old and run down and the coin operated shower stall had a floor that looked like it was made from old wooden pallets. I will not be back and will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience... | | |
