State Park InformationGrizzly Creek Redwoods State Park | | (No Ratings Yet) | 16949 HWY 36 | Carlotta, California 95528 | United States | (707) 777-3683 | Unknown | | Description | Grizzly Creek SP campground will be on a first come, first serve basis from September 6th though December 31, 2011. During the months of September through November, construction could be going on in the park M-F, 7am-4pm with possible traffic delays. Staff will attempt to contact campers regarding the traffic delays to allow the campers to move their vehicles out of the construction area should they so choose. The redwoods in the Grizzly Creek area were what inspired Owen R. Cheatham, founder of Georgia-Pacific Corporation, to preserve this site in perpetuity. The Cheatham Grove is an exceptional stand of coast redwoods. The park is a quiet place to camp, hike, fish, swim and picnic. The Van Duzen River flows beside the campground. | | | | Park Stats | Campgrounds: 1 | Campsites: 30 | Photos: 0 | Reviews: 0 | Views: 169 | Likes: 0 |
