Kerby M. | Very cute, very suburban | Reviewed on July 28th, 2020 | We booked Blackwell as a first time camping with little kids trip (we adults are seasoned campers) and it is such a cute little park. Blackwell as a whole is immaculately kept and VERY clean. The campsites are not very private or even a little but rustic, feels a lot like camping in your backyard, but that might be what you are looking for. Our tent pad was all grass and the fire ring was well kept. We slept very comfortably and enjoyed visiting the camp store. The kids loved it and it was exactly what we needed to launch into a more rustic camping experience confidently. We typically camp in WI and MN, in much more remote car accessible sites but Blackwell is perfect for a single night or first time camping experience. And with it's proximity the suburbs, we even ran home for a forgotten item to avoid a toddler meltdown. | | |
