One of New Mexico’s largest lakes, you can explore the 11 miles of the Conchas River or 14 miles of the South Canadian River portions of the lake. With miles of shoreline, there is ample opportunity for hiking and birding too.
Conchas Lake State Park Northside water system will be closed from June 1st through September 15th for construction. During this time, there will be no drinking water available at the park and the shower buildings and RV dump station will be closed. Park visitors will need to bring all their water with them for their stay at the park.
The State Parks Division is making repairs to the main water storage tank at the park. The repairs include the installation of a disinfection boosting system that will allow the park to lift the boil water advisory that has been necessary over the last couple seasons.
