State Park InformationLake Bob Sandlin State Park | | (No Ratings Yet) | 341 State Park Rd 2117 | Pittsburg, Texas 75686 | United States | (903) 572-5531 | Unknown | | Description | Two ecoregions meet here on the shore of Lake Bob Sandlin in northeast Texas. The result: massive trees, tall grasses and a fascinating mix of plants and animals. The fishing is pretty good, too!
This lakeside park offers fun on water and land. Swim, fish, paddle and boat on the 9,000-acre lake. Or picnic, hike, camp, geocache, mountain bike and nature watch under the trees. Visit in autumn to see spectacular fall foliage. Bring your group for a picnic by the lake at our pavilion.
Fish in the lake from shore, pier or boat. Or try your luck at the stocked Trout Pond or Brim Pond. Anglers here catch largemouth bass, catfish and crappie. The park has a boat ramp, a lighted fishing pier and a fish cleaning station. We loan fishing poles and rent kayaks for use in the park. You do not need a fishing license to fish from shore or pier in a state park (you will need a license to fish from a boat).
