Utah State Parks and Recreation and the Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (UHGPGA) are partnering to preserve this unique recreation area that is an excellent site for teaching and gathering experience for flyers of all levels. It is known worldwide as one of the best training sites for both paragliding and hang gliding.

Facilities include a restroom and information kiosk for both flyers and visitors.

According to Utah Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association President Ty McCartney, each year approximately 700 pilots fly the point and nearly 30 percent of those are from out of state or out of the country.

In 1927, the University of Utah Flying Club flew here, using a Model A or Model T to launch. If they didn’t have a car, a team of men pulling a rope helped launch flyers.

Camping: Park is open to camping on the top of the park only. 14 day stay limit within a 30 day period. Open fires prohibited. Please clean up after your stay and pack out what you bring in.
