The launch ramp on the east side of the reservoir is a great place to launch a boat. Rockport Reservoir has good fishing for both trout and bass, and in the summer it is a busy lake with many people tubing, waterskiing, and wakeboarding. There are also over a hundred campsites available for camping year round.

Many species of animals also call Rockport home including mule deer, chipmunks, jackrabbits, cottontails, yellowbelly marmots, badgers, raccoons, weasels, fox, and Uinta ground squirrels.
