Made up of 9,474 acres at an elevation of more than 3,000 feet above sea level, it is West Virginia’s highest state forest. My wife and I just returned from 3 days at the mill creek campground. We had the entire campground to ourselves and lab Sunny. It was very quiet and great trails with views. We were right on mill creek, a lovely wild brook trout stream. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll return!
