Unknown | Noisy with little to no privacy | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | There is no privacy between sites. It is open with a few small trees, so sound travels well in this campground. Crying babies, generators, hand dryers, traffic from the road to the train echoing off the mountains you will hear it all if you are camping in a tent so bring ear plugs.
This campground has showers, flush toilets, & a stainless steel sink for washing dishes too. Fire wood is kept out in the open with no protection so it was soaking wet.
Elk walk through the campground so give them space if they have babies. Wildlife offices will come to scare them off but they do come back.
Camp sites next to the washrooms will have to endure a big flood light that is kept on all night.
Parks Canada has built tentik buildings ("glamping") on 3-4 of the lake front sites which is a shame as they block the view from the other sites in the campground. Pets are not allowed in the tentik buildings.
The location is great for hiking & the lake is beautiful but we will not be staying here again. | | | This review has been viewed 111 times. |
