Unknown | A hidden gem | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | We camped at Kitty Coleman at the end of July 2012. It was our first venture away from Rathtrevor, so at first we found the smaller sites and close proximity to our neighbour a bit unnerving. But....each campsite is either right on the beach, or just steps across a lane to the beach. Some sites have their own firepit, others on the other side of the park share firepits for the communal type of camping. The view was stunning. We even got used to no showers. The pit toilets did not smell and were very clean. Due to the fact that many people camping had large trailers and their own facilities, few people used them. The cost was only $13/night and the caretakers were awesome. It is run by a community board. Call at 8am on the day you are coming, and they will hold a spot for you. Otherwise, no advance reservations. We loved it and plan to go again in September. | | | This review has been viewed 156 times. |
