flora e. | Wonderful County Park | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | We did not camp here but this will be our new base camp when exploring the Huron National Forest. It is huge for a county park! The campground winds along the shores of the Ausable River which is so wide in this area, it is more like a lake. The sites are wooded, clean, and well spaced out. They have a playground, general store, boat rental and small beach. It is very scenic more like what you would expect from a state park. If you have small kids you might want an interior site as some of the waterfront sites have a steep drop down to the river. | | | This review has been viewed 81 times. |
