Nice Site, Close to Trail

This site is right on the river, 2 pads. The entrance is south, you walk for 2 minutes south, only to find it's 25 feet off the trail. So why did they not put the entrance to the closest part of the trail?
It's a beautiful site though, we did not stay, but passed it going to site 14, which is another 8-15 minutes south.
