Sarah Y. | Worlds End State Park | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | We love to stay at Worlds End State Park. There are several private wooded sites in the upper loop of the campground. The lower loop is less private, which electric pull-in sites for RVs. The bathrooms are modern- well maintained and clean. There is even a family bathroom, which is nice if you have kids. Loyalsock creek, which is located near the park office, is a great place to spend an afternoon. Walking on the rocks near the water and wading in the creek is fun for the family. If you have a tube you can tube a little ways down the river. It is shallow, and on a hot day the water is surprisingly warm. At the far end of the creek, under the bridge by the beach, there is a swimming area right next to the bottom of a mountain. Be sure to wear water shoes, the rock bottom can be a little uncomfortable at times. Look up at a wall of rocks and trees. Look down and see your feet- the water is clear and cold and refreshing! It is just a beautiful place to swim. Take a drive up to see Canyon Vista for a breathtaking view. Behind the scenic overlook is a path leading into the woods, and an area filled with huge boulders for climbing and exploring. There is also a nice playground, and during the summer the park office offers nature programs for children and adults. | | | This review has been viewed 97 times. |
