flora e. | Peaceful | Reviewed on June 19th, 2020 | I did not stay at the campground, but did spend the day exploring the park. From what I saw the park is very clean with nice, wide, sandy beaches. It is about a half hour from Myrtle Beach, and about as quiet as you are going to find on the Carolina coast. No swimming pool or fishing pier, but lots of beach to explore. There are nature trails and a marsh boardwalk, which appeared to be a haven for birdwatchers. There is also a nature center and Ranger led activities for kids. Right across the street is Brookgreen Gardens which is amazing!! Atalaya Castle is on the park grounds. It is two dollars for a self guided tour. Beautiful peaceful park along the Carolina coast. | | | This review has been viewed 100 times. |
