S Kawishiwi River Campground at Superior National Forest, Minnesota, United States. There are a few of these vault toilets around the campground. They are very clean inside. There are no showers onsite.
S Kawishiwi River Campground at Superior National Forest, Minnesota, United States. Potable water. Only one that was usable during our stay. Near entrance.
S Kawishiwi River Campground at Superior National Forest, Minnesota, United States. Path along the river. The campsites that are along the river all have stairways down to this path and to the river for boat access.
This is our second stay at a National Forest campground and we are impressed. They are well maintained and have biggest sites than a lot of other campgrounds we've been to. On a busy beautiful Memorial Day weekend, it wasn't even half filled.
There is no dump station here. Nearest is in Ely which is 10 miles away. Can also go to Barrett which is 20 minutes away.
There are some campsites that are reservable online. But a good half of them are self-registrable at the entrance.
Many of the sites along the river have their own stairs down to the river.
Definitely worth the drive and stay. And with only 10 miles to Ely, lots to do if you need to go for a drive.
