I admit, I came in with low expectations since I am accustomed to State Park camping, with lots of space and privacy between sites. But I was very pleasantly surprised at how great our camping experience here was. The views were nice, we had a nice big tree in our site (117) and we were disturbed late by other guests, and the showers were clean.
The tent area here is basically a rolling lawn area with some nice trees, removed from the cars and overlooking the lake. We used the park as a launch point to our other adventures beginning in Cannon Falls a few miles away: biking the Cannon Valley Trail and kayaking the Cannon River.
